Troy and Steve travelled with Sensei Thompson and families to Monroe Louisiana, to test for Shodan. Tested by Sensei Bob Allen 7th Dan. A long road to get to black belt.
The pre-test started with basics and kata just to get us warmed up, but this was in March In Louisiana which is about the same temp as june in England, and four times more humid. The test got under way with the compulsory kata and one of your own choice, more basics and then kumite. It was a bit different that what I was expecting, but the result was still the same. |
