After the hoopla of the black belt tests the previous day, it was time to test the lower grades. New belt for Brian Shimchick who gets 9s kyu.

Ben Cooper gets a full yellow, Jennifer Cronander and Alison Ladage get full orange belts, Zack Puckett, Alex Stufflebeam and Zach Haney get blue and white stripe belts. Sarah Neal gets a green and white stripe belt, and Cody Grant takes a step nearer black belt by getting 1st kyu.

Brian Shimchick also picked up the 'Student of the Month" cup and Zach Haney a best student award.

Here, the students who passed the belt test line up to move their name up the 'Nafuda kake' or, name rank board.

It's good to see the students who, a few months back, were so nervous they wouldn't say 'boo' to a goose are now progressing up the rank board:
